Meditation: Kickin’ Fertilizer When Facing Down in Troubles

When bad things happen, and they do, you will have choices.

If you haven’t had your turn, stick around. No one is left out of surprising life events, whether good or bad.

We can stay face down in the muck and suffer in the role of a victim. Or, after the initial shock, we can kick and flail, and maybe even yell, and eventually rise to a standing position! The air will freshen a bit and we’ll find ourselves with more energy.

While we weren’t looking we weren’t the only thing that was becoming energized. The manure that we were busy kicking around became aerated and now has a valid use — the fertilizer of our future.

It may take a while to gain insight to the fact that you can use the pain of the past to engineer a positive future.

So the next time you find yourself face down in that noxious mud, sputter a bit, wipe your face off, and rise to realize you have the power to turn that barnyard muck into fertilizer for a better life!
