Meditation Poem: In the Pine Sunshine

As I sit here in the sunshine of my memories I feel the caress of Pine Sunshine.

I’m under a pine in the sunshine.

Glimpses of moving shade. Refreshing as a tall lemonade.

The shadows play upon my skin, and then I feel the warming begin.

Sometimes in the hammock I look up, Or sip from the coffee in my cup.

I can feel the soothing start; From my toes up to my heart.

The smell of pine holds me tight, As I peek at the morning light.

Oh, I know there’s lots to do, But for now I enjoy the view.

The breeze and the sunlight each taking their turn, and shade pitchin’ in to avoid a burn.

This Pine Sunshine is mighty fine.

For soul and body it’s truly sublime!
