For you, we wish the Christmas Spirit would bring:
Lots of holly, mistletoe, candles, poinsettias, and full plates of holiday delights,
But few times when you cry out for Rolaids or break a tooth on peanut brittle. . .
Lots of gifts with few needs omitted. . .
Lots of candy canes and bows with the peace that comes from few bills you cannot pay on some reality’s January day. . .
Lots of joyful songs but few uncomfortable silences at seeing that Christmas does not stop all sorrow. . .
Lots of companionship with few moments of loneliness . . .
Lots of relaxation and renewal but few times of excessive rush . . .
Lots of faith but few times of doubt when answers do not come easily . . .
However, with life being what it is, you will inevitably experience events of many flavors during this season – so we’ll pray, more appropriately, that your Christmas mixture be such that the unfortunate ingredients make the brighter ones a little more lucid, a little more appreciated, and that your Yuletide be blessed with
