Teaching History of The Eighties with a Rap Song

Whether it is for history teachers to use in order to introduce students to names and events they can research, or just for fun and nostalgia, The Eighties Rap video on YouTube is here.

Some classes use the lyrics, either projected on the wall or as a classroom handout which the students can keep in their notebook. Others start the history class with a bit of fun while the class is starting. Students can choose a person or event to research and share with the class. Those lyrics can be found here.

There are a number of exciting activities which can be included in a study of the Eighties Decade.

This video can be used as audio only, or as is. It invites singing along and dancing. Enjoy!
